Viking Posament Bracelet Kit

Try this variation of knotting pewter thread with our Viking Posament Bracelet Kit. Our Viking Posament Bracelet Kit includes the perfect amount of materials you need to create this unique “Josephine” knotted braid. But wait! How will you learn to braid this beauty if you aren’t in a class? No worries!  We now offer access to step-by-step videos on our site so you can braid alongside premier instructor Liz Bucheit. This is a wonderful project for students who want to build on their braiding skills.

This kit contains materials and access to video directions for 1@Viking Posament Braid

Materials in kit:

Tin thread (92″ cut into 2@ 46″ sections) 0.35mm

20mm wide reindeer leather strip (approximately 7″ long)

5mm wide reindeer leather strip (approximately 2″ long) for button

1@ reindeer leather twisted cord (for button loop)

1@ pewter two hole button

1@ 5/11 straight needle (to use with acrylic thread to fasten braid to leather)

1@ leather “glover” needle (to use with black synthetic sinew thread to fasten button loop and close up back of bracelet)

Acrylic and black synthetic sinew thread

Straight pins and crochet hook (7/1.65)

 

You will also need: (Not included in kit)

Braiding pad or foam pad surface

Scissors

Measuring tape

Plastic hobby table clamp with hole(s) in handle

Rubber cement or a tacky glue like Aleene’s Tacky Glue
